The Odessa Community Ministerial Association wants to recognize Julie Jantz for her selfless efforts as the former director of the Odessa Food Bank. For 10 years, she helped hundreds of families meet their monthly grocery needs. She facilitated the ordering, delivery and organizing of items, as well as scheduling and other duties associated with the Food Bank. She served faithfully as a volunteer director, giving of her time and dedication in an effort to assist the people of Odessa.

This past winter, the transition to a new director, Merleen Smith, was completed. The Odessa Food Bank exists to serve residents of Odessa and the surrounding area by providing assistance with grocery items. Everything supplied by the Food Bank has been received by donation or obtained with donated funds. The Odessa Food Bank is generally open the third Thursday of every month and is housed in the Odessa Foursquare Church at 111 E. First Ave.
