Deadline nears for ag excellence nominations

The November 1, 2017 deadline is rapidly approaching to get nominations in for the Fifth Annual Excellence Agricultural Award. The AgriBusiness Council of Greater Spokane Incorporated in partnership with Spokane Ag Expo and Pacific Northwest Farm Forum will be recognizing individuals, businesses and groups that have demonstrated a significant positive influence on the agricultural industry in the Inland Northwest during the 2017 calendar year.

All nominations must be received at the AgriBusiness Council office no later than November 1, 2017. Persons may nominate as many individuals, groups or organizations as they like. There is a nomination form on our website at that can be copied and filled out or simply forward a written nomination to: Excellence in Agriculture Award, Greater Spokane Incorporated, 801 W. Riverside, Ste. 100, Spokane, WA 99201 or email to on or before November 1, 2016.

When considering an individual, business or organization for the Excellence in Agriculture award, the selection committee will consider four criteria: Innovation in Agriculture, Economic and/or Environmental Stewardship Contribution to Agriculture, Positive Impact on Agriculture and Industry Awareness and Outreach. Nominations will be narrowed to selected finalists and announced in late January prior to Spokane Ag Expo/Pacific Northwest Farm Forum being held February 6-8, 2018. The winner(s) will be announced and presented their award during show week at the Pacific Northwest Farm Forum kickoff session on the morning of February 6 at the Spokane Convention Center in the Centennial Ballroom.
