Monday June 4, 2018, Ellen Holman's fourth-grade class at P.C. Jantz Elementary School toured the Odessa Historical Museum. Local historical society members were on hand to provide information to the group. Paul Scheller gave a guided tour of the main building and Patrick Gies gave the tour of the barn section of the museum. The kids were so intrigued and full of questions that they easily could have stayed for a longer visit.

Some of the students modeled hats, with the boys donning World War I helmets and the girls various fashions from the past. Holman modeled the very heavy fur coat and hat which had come out of Russia with some Volga German immigrants. The students also hopped a ride in the museum's Model T Ford.

In car front seat, Troy Hardung, Ashley Zagelow, Aiden Schmierer and in the driver's seat Alyx Scheller. In the back seat: Max Peterson, Drake Tenhet, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Dominic Shrives. In front of car: Rebecca Bramer, John Melcher, Jose Zaragoza, Devin Nelson, Angeline Phillips and teacher Ellen Holman.
