Criminal Sentencings

Steven A. Pina, 47, of Spokane and/or Republic, pleaded guilty June 11 to possession of methamphetamine hydrochloride in connection with a Sept. 10, 2018, incident in the vicinity of Devils Gap Road north of Reardan. His sentence includes six months in jail and $700 court assessments.

Bryan Timothy Ferguson, 43, of Grand Coulee, pleaded guilty June 11 to second-degree burglary in connection with incidents from Dec. 15, 2016, to March 21, 2017, in the vicinity of Waukon Road in the Edwall area. His sentence includes 57 months in prison (concurrent with a Spokane County sentence), $500 court assessments and restitution to be determined later. As a result of a plea agreement, prosecutors withdrew six additional charges of second-degree burglary and one of third-degree theft. Ferguson also pleaded guilty June 11 to second-degree burglary in connection with an incident on Krause Road near Wilbur during the same period. In exchange for that plea, prosecutors withdrew an additional second-degree burglary charge and another of second-degree theft in connection with an incident on Roby Road near Creston.

Civil Judgments

A transcript of a March 27 Lincoln County District Court default judgment awarding $12,626.22 to Bank of America, the petitioner, from Gary L. Jannot, of Wilbur, was filed with the Superior Court.

The court on June 6 denied a Reardan individual’s request for a vulnerable adult protection order against Tim Lee Greenwood and Lisa Greenwood, noting insufficient basis and that a similar petition is being reviewed in Spokane County.

As a result of a June 10 default judgment, Robin Nachtigal, of Davenport, must pay $1,151.87 to Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC in a matter involving money due on a credit account.

As a result of a June 10 judgment, Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC was awarded $1,175.72 from Jessica Johnson, of Reardan, in a matter involving money due on a credit account.

As a result of a June 10 judgment, Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC was awarded $1,519.60 from Josh G. Mings, of Almira, in a matter involving money due on a credit account.

Michael Wayne and Sherri Lynn Frederick, doing business as Chiefs Bar and Grill in Odessa, must pay $8,873.40 in taxes owed to the Washington State Department of Revenue.

Markelle A. Burton, of Davenport, must return $268.26 in overpaid unemployment benefits to the Washington State Department of Employment Security.
