Editor’s note: Most items in this section reflect the starting point for response by local police and emergency agencies. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

April 4

Traffic stops: 15

A man reported an abandoned vehicle off the road near milepost 26 on Highway 174.

A Davenport man said a deer was caught in the fence behind his house on the 32500 block of North Nye Road. He said he cut his fence down, but said the deer was suffering and needed to be put down so it wouldn’t be eaten by predators.

Multi Agency Communication Center in Moses Lake said a man from Lincoln County called them saying a young boy came to his trailer and asked for his help because his dad was pulling his mom’s hair while pushing and shoving her.

A 55-year-old female having a seizure was reported in Davenport.

A caller said he fell for a scam with someone claiming to work for Amazon.

A man said his wife left with their two-year-old son two days prior and claimed to be visiting her parents, but when he called she said she had to leave because a cop was on her tail.

A Davenport woman said the steps going up to her apartment on the 400 block of Morgan Street were wet with standing water and hadn’t heard back from the rental company.

A Creston man said he saw a trespasser on a 20-acre plot of land near his residence on the 35700 block of North Arm View Lane.

The Ritzville Washington State Patrol office said they got a call from a man on the 100 block of Main Street in Sprague thanking a state trooper for all his help, but the trooper said he had never personally been on a call with the man.

April 5

An Almira man reported an 89-year-old man with a medical condition.

A one-vehicle rollover collision was reported in Odessa.

A 76-year-old man was injured with possible broken ribs in an ATV accident. Lincoln and Creston ambulance services were paged.

A Sprague woman said someone dented her garage door on the 500 block of West Second Street. She said 15 minutes prior she heard a loud noise and suspected the garage was hit by a rock.

A Wilbur man said he saw people with flashlights walking around behind Wilbur Security.

April 6

Traffic stops: 19

Washington State Patrol said they received a report of an abandoned vehicle somewhere between Lawton and Fishtrap on East Sprague Highway Road.

A caller reported a black sedan with its hazards on with an apparent woman slumped over the wheel in an undisclosed location.

A Davenport man said he was extremely upset that nothing has been done about his neighbor’s horse getting onto his property on the 32400 block of East Indian Creek Road. The man was informed that the horse’s owner is currently booked in Lincoln County Jail on a charge of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.

A caller said his landlord was going through all his belongings.

A 75-year-old female having diabetic problems was reported.

A Lincoln man said his lab was shot with a pellet gun in his yard on the 41800 block of North Paradise Lane. He said the dog was taken to the vet to have the pellet removed and gave his neighbor’s name, but didn’t know if the neighbor was responsible or not.

A Davenport man said he lost his wallet and iPhone 10 in a blue case in the back of his boat.

An Okanogan man said his daughter wasn’t dropped off in Wilbur by his ex-wife during a custody exchange the previous night, but said his sons were.

A Davenport woman said she nearly got into a car crash on Morgan Street between Sixth and Seventh Street. She said a man pulled out from between the bank and the Napa building and almost sideswiped her car.

A Davenport woman reported an SUV with a driver speeding, tailgating and passing poorly on Highway 2 eastbound from milepost 259.

A Davenport man reported a black Chevy Cruz racing around the neighborhood on the 900 block of 14th Street.

Coulee Dam Police Department called saying the Colville Tribal Police Department made contact with a man with warrants for his arrest that was last seen in a black Kia Soul on Highway 174 from Grand Coulee.

April 7

Traffic stops: 1

A Wilbur woman reported a car crash.

A Harrington woman called from Parks Print and requested a welfare check on a man who was just at the business talking about how he was in England and that the church his parents were buried in was no longer there, and that he had been to the other Davenport and this wasn’t it. The caller said the man appeared out of sorts.

A DUI driver was reported eastbound on Highway 2 from Wilbur.

April 8

Traffic stops: 8

A caller from Child Protective Services requested deputy assistance with a welfare check on children in Wilbur, as the children’s mother’s partner was a convicted felon.

A Reardan woman reported an abandoned vehicle.

A Mohler woman reported a disabled semitruck partially blocking the road on Harrington-Tokio Road southbound from Mohler.

April 9

Traffic stops: 8

Two employees were reportedly having a verbal dispute at Corner Café in Creston.

A man said someone hit a deer in an undisclosed location.

A Reardan man reported a fire east of Highway 231 just north of Fisher Road.

A woman in an undisclosed location reported a man at her house honking and yelling at her.

April 10

Traffic stops: 18

A Reardan man said a Lincoln Navigator registered to a Wellpinit woman was broken down at the county line on Euclid Road and had been there for three days.

A Spokane man reported four people burning in a dangerous location in Seven Bays near the intersection of Buckhorn and Dove Roads. He said there was no water on scene and the same people who were burning the previous week had the fire get away from them. The caller was concerned it would happen again.

A caller requested a towing of a vehicle at the Hawk Creek Campground.

Lincoln Hospital requested deputy assistance to deal with a new patient.

A caller said he swerved to miss some deer and went off the roadway in an undisclosed location. He said his car was leaking coolant and he didn’t believe it would run.

Christopher Gatewood, 41, Davenport. Arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) on a charge of fourth-degree assault.

April 6

Kody Marshall Scott, 28, Spokane. Arrested by LCSO on charges of third-degree driving with a license suspended or revoked and making a false or misleading statement to a public servant.

Levance Anthony Reed, 30, Davenport. Arrested by LCSO on a charge of violating a domestic violence court order.

April 8

Steven Ray Ford, 30, Omak. Arrested by Kalispel Tribal Police as a Kalispell Tribal detainer.

April 9

Randy Earl Baker, 66, Wellpinit. Arrested by LCSO on a charge of reckless endangerment.

Dustin Maxwell Dice, 39, Coulee Dam. Arrested by Washington State Patrol on a charge of third-degree driving with a license suspended or revoked.

April 10

Valene Jean Wynecoop, 35, Wellpinit. Arrested by Kalispel Tribal Police on a charge of third-degree theft.

Ariel Winona Tidwell vs. Dyland Michael Borden. Regarding a restraining order amidst a marriage dissolution. Court granted a supervised visitation with respondent’s mother or sister through a temporary restraining order ending Oct. 6, 2021.

Cassandra Lee Clark vs. Franklin Scott Clark. Regarding a protection order due to domestic violence. Respondent paged by court administrator with no response. Court found service to be proper. Ms. Clark’s motion for protection order granted effective to April 6, 2022.

Criminal docket-April 6

Levance Anthony Reed, who is charged with four counts of a protection order violation with a prior conviction was arraigned and entered a not guilty plea. Defendant to be booked and released in Lincoln County Jail. Readiness hearing set for June 1. Jury trial set for June 23.
