Davenport golf plays two matches

DAVENPORT – The Gorillas competed in two matches last week: at Harrington for a nine-hole round April 22 and at Colville for an 18-hole round April 27.

Comments from head coach Trenton Briney: "The kids did well at Colville. It's a tough course that is very unique, because the front nine is more of a traditional style and the back nine is a lynx style. It was the first time playing the course for most of the kids and was the first 18-hole competition for some of them. We are improving each week, which is good to see, and Kristof has really played well, taking 1st place in every match he has played in this year. Our district championship is coming up next week so hopefully the kids can continue progress and qualify for the Kalispell tournament that is 4a-1b regional championship."
