REARDAN – Kettle Falls jumped on the Reardan softball girls in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday, May 4, running away for a convincing 14-2 win. Reardan's bats came alive in the second game and the Indians won 14-9.

Reardan was aided in the second game with three insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Kettle Falls managed one run in the top of the seventh inning, but left two runners on base as pitcher A.J. Sosky was able to strike out the final batter.

Kettle Falls poured on 14 runs in five innings in the first game, which ended early via mercy rule.

Davenport softball, meanwhile, has struggled this season and has lost its first 10 games. In the last week, the Gorillas lost doubleheaders to Kettle Falls, Colfax and Asotin.

Davenport fell to Kettle Falls 13-3 and 12-2, to Colfax 13-1 and 12-2 and Asotin 12-2 and 17-12.

Reardan is at Asotin May 8 while Davenport is at Northwest Christian May 6.
