July 18

Traffic stops: 16

A Hunters woman reported a possible domestic violence situation.

A woman reported her vehicle was hit by a car.

A Colbert woman reported a disabled boat on Lake Roosevelt.

A Davenport woman reported a young kid shooting on BLM ground on Sterett Road North.

A Harrington woman said she was following a white work truck swinging all over the roadway with a driver either drunk or texting.

An Odessa man reported an injured deer in a road.

A Sprague man reported a suspicious car in the city.

July 19

Traffic stops: 15

A worker at Reardan Ag Link said a man was parked in their parking lot and had been there all morning and was now slumped over in the driver seat.

A caller reported a dozen cows loose on Kupers Road in Harrington.

A Davenport woman said her next-door neighbor’s dog was barking incessantly.

A Harrington man said someone broke into his missile site outside town.

A lost dog was reported at the intersection of Fifth and Division Streets in Odessa.

A Davenport man said another man was driving with a toddler in his lap on Morgan Street.

A vehicle was seen in the ditch north of Highway 2 just east of Telford Rest Area.

July 20

Traffic stops: 8

A Davenport man reported a white Blazer parked in the middle of the road near Hawk Creek.

A Wilbur man reported a suspicious vehicle.

A woman said children with no parents home were yelling and threatening each other at her neighbor’s residence.

A woman said she was parked and blocked in by a semitruck and trailer and the driver wouldn’t move his truck and trailer to let her out.

A caller from Lincoln County Alcohol/Drug Center noticed two large German shepherds running west down Morgan Street from Third Street.

An off-duty LCSO sergeant accidentally hit a fawn and injured it and requested assistance dispatching it.

A Davenport man complained about a sign containing vulgar language visible from Highway 2 in Reardan.

A Davenport woman said she could hear people screaming in her neighbor’s house for days on the 900 block of 11th Street.

A caller said he hit a fawn on the corner of Lincoln Street in Davenport.

A Richland man said a man appeared at his campsite at Fort Spokane under the influence of drugs or alcohol and couldn’t answer any questions.

July 21

Traffic stops: 6

A disabled vehicle was reported on Highway 28 at milepost 97.5.

National Park Service requested help clearing Lake Roosevelt for airplanes to fill up on water for fighting fires.

A caller reported a man drinking alcohol in a parking lot uninvited.

A possible family disturbance was reported on the 23700 block of Highway 231 North.

A caller reported a car swerving and going into traffic heading west into Lincoln County from Grant County.

A Reardan woman reported a dead deer in the eastbound lane of Highway 2 near Inland Northwest Rail Museum.

A 911 caller was screaming and begging for help. The call was traced to milepost 246 on I-90. Washington State Patrol took the case from there.

July 22

Traffic stops: 7

A Wilbur woman asked for a deputy to stop by Wonder Mart and check on a small white pickup truck with a person sleeping inside.

A New York woman requested a welfare check on her brother that lives on the 300 block of South Coal Creek Road in Harrington after she didn’t hear from him for a few days.

A Sprague man said someone came to the fire station to report a suspicious person.

A Spokane Valley man said he’d be leaving his white pop-up travel trailer off Highway 174 on Douglas Road after getting a flat tire and discovering his spare was also flat. He said he’d go to Davenport for a spare and if necessary, continue to Spokane for the spare.

A disabled semitruck was blocking Highway 231 near Crescent Road.

A daughter reported fighting with her dad on the 400 block of Main Street.

A vehicle fire was reported just east of Lincoln County in Spokane County at milepost 267 on Highway 2.

A Wilbur woman reported a person opening the trunk of a car, crawling through, opening the doors and heading eastbound on Highway 2 from Napa in Wilbur.

A Davenport man reported a dead deer blocking the left lane of Highway 2.

July 23

Traffic stops: 10

A train reportedly hit a cow in an undisclosed location.

An Almira man reported a suspicious car parked near his shed on Old Coulee Road a mile north of town.

A Bellingham woman requested a welfare check on her mother on the 700 block of First Street in Davenport after she didn’t hear from her for a few days.

A caller from Boy Scouts of America reported possible abuse involving a scout at their camp in Okanogan County, who was reporting abuse in his Davenport home on Russ Road East.

An Oregon woman said her schizophrenic son went to two different neighbor’s houses where elderly women live and asked for sex.

A woman said her boat was broken down near the Lincoln boat launch.

A possible DUI driver was reported on Doggett Road from Highway 28.

July 24

Traffic stops: 11

A woman reported a possible DUI driver westbound into Davenport.

A Reardan woman said she woke up to her ex-boyfriend feeling her up. She was living with him for another two weeks while they worked out a co-parenting plan.

An Odessa caller said a man named Salvador wanted to fight him in the backyard.

A Sprague man reported suspicious circumstances.

Desmond Louie Timentwa, 40, Nespelem. Arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) on charges of third-degree driving with a license suspended or revoked, driving under the influence and an ignition interlock violation.

Craig Steven Weysham, 62, Camden. Originally arrested by LCSO on charges of third-degree assault, fourth-degree assault, custodial assault and resisting arrest.

July 21

James Howard Hendley, 38, Edwall. Arrested by LCSO on a charge of fourth-degree domestic violence/assault.

Riley John Patrick Vail, 27, Twisp. Arrested by LCSO on charges of second-degree vehicle prowling, first-degree theft, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle.

July 22

Benjamin Chan Anderson, 31, Mercer Island. Arrested by Washington State Patrol on a charge of reckless driving.

Joshua Ryan Granchie, 27, Davenport. Arrested by LCSO on a charge of taking a motor vehicle without permission.

Cody James Magruder, 36, Carlton. Arrested by LCSO on charges of second-degree malicious mischief, second-degree vehicle prowling, theft, theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle.

Russell Darold Pick, 46, Moses Lake. Arrested by the Odessa Police Department on a no-contact order violation charge.

Russell Darold Pick, Moses Lake, narcotics violation. Sentenced to 15 days in jail, 12 months supervised probation and 12 months unsupervised probation.

Benjamin Melgren, Ritzville, third-degree driving with a suspended license. Case dismissed.

Mathew Edward Higgins, Valley, third-degree driving with a suspended license. Sentenced to 12 months supervised probation.

Demetrio Juarez Suarez, Othello, hit-and-run of an attended vehicle. Case dismissed.

Demetrio Juarez Suarez, Othello, driving under the influence and reckless driving. Sentenced to one day in jail, a $1,250 fine and 24 months probation.

Tanisha M. George, Sumner, possession of dangerous weapons. Case dismissed.

Ivan Petrovich Malko, Liberty Lake, first-degree driving with a suspended license. Sentenced to two days in jail, 24 hours of community service, 12 months supervised probation and 12 months unsupervised probation.

Kellie Clark Cruz, Davenport, operating a vehicle without regular certification. Case dismissed.

Erick Isaiah Velasquez, Odessa, third-degree driving with a suspended license and an ignition interlock violation. First charge dismissed. Second charge sentenced to two days in jail, 16 hours of community service and 12 months supervised probation.

Ernest Vern Windisch, Yakima, reckless driving. Case dismissed.

Jonathon Woodrum, Grand Coulee, license plate violation and driving without a license. Sentenced to 12 months supervised probation.

Craig S. Weysham, hometown not listed, two counts of domestic violence/assault. Case dismissed.

James Darrell Gaines, Lincoln, third-degree driving with a suspended license and operating a vehicle without a license. Sentenced to three days in jail, 24 hours of community service, a $500 fine, 12 months supervised probation and 12 months unsupervised probation.

Michael Anthony Capshaw, hometown not listed, first-degree driving with a suspended license. Case dismissed.

Joshua Ryan Granchie, Davenport, taking a motor vehicle. Sentenced to 30 days in jail.

Omar Amezquita Godina, Spokane, failure to transfer a title. Case dismissed.

Other court matters

In the case of Star West Developments of Sprague vs. Paul and Lenora Brown of Sprague, the court found the defendant converted two bird nets without permission that were owned by the plaintiff. The court ordered the defendants to put the nets back up.

Criminal docket-July 20

Richard Deno Denison, who was convicted of two counts of residential burglary, three counts of firearm theft and two counts of second-degree firearm theft stemming from an incident in March 2018 and is currently serving a 126-month sentenced at the Airway Heights Correctional Facility, had neither party appear for a motion hearing to correct and re-sentence him. The court continued the hearing to Aug. 10.

Brandy J. Hood, who is charged with second-degree assault with a deadly weapon, harassment with the threat to kill or cause bodily injury and fourth-degree assault, hasn’t had a mental evaluation done yet. Readiness hearing set for Aug. 10.

Michelle L. Hopkins, who is charged with first-degree and second-degree possession of depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, hasn’t had a mental evaluation done yet. Status hearing set for Aug. 10.

Michael Lorentz Jackson, who is charged with second-degree theft, struck his Aug. 11 trial as there is a global deal with an assault case in Spokane County. Waived right to speedy trial. Readiness hearing set for Aug. 10. Jury trial set for Sept. 8.

Michael Kevin Hurlburt, who is charged with residential burglary after a boat was stolen in Lincoln in 2020, changed to a guilty plea. He’s scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 10.

Hurlburt also entered a guilty plea regarding a second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm charge with a previous conviction. He’s scheduled to be sentenced for this charge Aug. 10.

Michael Anthony Capshaw entered a guilty plea on charges of second-degree theft, making or having a burglar tool and possession of another’s ID for stealing a debit card and driver’s license. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail concurrent with a district court case.

James Michael Cunningham, who is charged with first-degree reckless burning stemming from an incident in Egypt, waived his right to a speedy trial. Readiness hearing set for Aug. 31. Jury trial set for Sept. 22.

Reina M. Karunaratne, who is charged with residential burglary, hasn’t had a mental evaluation yet. Case continued to Aug. 10.

Craig S. Weysham, who is charged with third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer, custodial assault of an adult institution and two counts of fourth-degree assault for allegedly assaulting his wife, daughter, LCSO deputy Dain Harden and LCSO dispatcher Dave Husky in a Reardan incident, was found mentally competent. Bail set at $10,000 Readiness hearing set for Aug. 10. Jury trial set for Sept. 1.
