Telford Rest Area closes due to tank issue

Many locals were surprised and confused when the Department of Transportation announced that Telford Rest Area would be closed until further notice without giving a reason Friday, Sept. 3.

As it turned out, a source within the DOT confirmed that the closure was due to a water tank issue. The facility doesn’t presently have water supply to help those stopping to use the restroom.

As of press time, the rest area remained closed with no estimate on when it would re-open.
