County dodges severe storm damage

DAVENPORT—High winds occasionally gusting over 60 miles per hour swirled through the Inland Northwest Monday before dying down throughout Tuesday, felling trees and causing power outages. However, it appears the eastern Lincoln County area dodged severe damage from the storm.

Lincoln County Public Works engineering manager Dave Sanford said crews had to respond to six fallen trees in the area.

“They were blocking trees that we had to have guys out after hours to clear, but we were able to clear them without any issue,” Sanford said. “And there was no other damage facility-wise.”
