Odessa Tigers defeat Liberty Bell, 62-22

MOSES LAKE – The Odessa Tigers defeated Liberty Bell at Lions Field in Moses Lake on Saturday, Nov. 20. It was a cold day for the fans, but the Odessa crowd nevertheless showed up to root for their Tigers.

Tiger quarterback Collin Martin completed five out of 10 passing attempts for gains of 144 yards passing and 48 yards rushing, or a total of 192 yards. Davey McMillan led the team in total yards with 217, gaining 68 yards with pass receptions and 149 yards rushing. McMillan was also the point leader with 28 and led in touchdowns with four, three rushing and one receiving. Martin added three rushing TDs and Anthony Elder two.

Defensively, Corbyn Neilsen and Daeton Deife each had one interception. Elder led the team with 11 tackles (four solos and seven assists) and one QB sack.

The other three quarterfinal games played that day saw the Naselle Comets beat the Pomeroy Pirates by a score of 72-42, Almira-Coulee-Hartline defeat Wilbur-Creston-Keller, 46-16, and the Quilcene Rangers beat the Winlock Cardinals, 51-28.

The Tigers now face Quilcene on Saturday, Nov. 27, in the semifinal round, which will also played at Lions Field in Moses Lake. Kickoff is at 4 p.m. In the other semifinal game, ACH faces Naselle.
