REARDAN – The girls varsity team was rarely challenged in two convincing wins over Almira-Coulee-Hartline and Odessa this week. Reardan knocked off the Warriors 54-31 Saturday, Dec. 18 and dusted off the Tigers 48-28 Tuesday, Dec. 21.

Reardan was particularly dominant in the first half against ACH, pitching a 14-0 shutout in the first quarter and leading 25-2 at the break behind a stifling press defense and 11 points from Ayden Krupke.

ACH found some offense in the third quarter and outscored Reardan 19-13, but the home team still led 38-21 with a period to go. Reardan would extend that margin by six more points in the final period, when junior varsity players got some run.

Krupke finished with 15 points and four steals for Reardan, while Madi Dewey added 12 points and eight rebounds. Mimi Isaak had 13 points to lead the Warriors.

Reardan kept up the defensive intensity against Odessa, which prompted the home team to a 14-4 first quarter and 21-6 halftime lead. Reardan managed to dictate the pace of play in the first half for a second-straight 20 point victory.

Dewey scored 15 points against Odessa, while Krupke had 10 points, six assists and five rebounds. Eight of Reardan's 12 players that played scored in the contest.

Ashlyn Neilsen had 20 of Odessa's 28 points as only two Tigers scored.

Reardan improved to 5-3 with its pair of victories and was headed to Chewelah for a date with the Cougars Wednesday, Dec. 22.
