Odessa Chamber discusses yearly topics

ODESSA – The Odessa Chamber of Commerce met Jan. 11.

Colley Walter presented a proposal to offer presale orders of Deutschesfest Biergarten German Sausage. Orders would have to be placed by sausage-making time, around Aug. 1. The Chamber website at http://www.odessachamber.com and The Odessa Record will provide ordering details in early summer.

In other business, the Chamber is seeking community members to form a Downtown Christmas Lighting/Decorating Committee for the 2022 Christmas season. Desert 100 profits of $5,000 have been budgeted for this project. Decorating ideas may be submitted as well by emailing pandl@odessaoffice.com.

Spring Fling Quilt Show is scheduled for April 29/30. Fronen Steppdecker, The Odessa Quilt Club, coordinates advertising for this event. Businesses and organizations planning events for Spring Fling are encouraged to contact The Quilt Club, attention Laura, at info@odessaquiltclub.com.

All businesses and community members are invited to the next meeting, Feb. 8 at 12 noon in the Old Town Hall. A representative of OTHRS, Old Town Hall Rejuvenation Society, will be present to share information about additional planned restoration projects.
