Marlin-Odessa Gun Clubs, week #8

The final week of the Spokesman-Review’s Inland Empire Trapshoot was held Sunday, Feb. 27, as reported below by Markus Smith for Odessa and Doug Starkel for Marlin.

Odessa results

At the Odessa Gun Club, no shooters shot all 25 targets. Cody Stanford and Ryan Lewis shot 24, while Jared Praetorious, Tyler Smith, Brian Wraspir, Danny Richardson and Tucker Walter all shot 23. Shooting 22 were Nick Tebow, Garret Braun, Colley Walter and Jared King. Anthony Paszkeicz shot 21.

Those with 20 and under were Jon Fink, Trevor Smith, Bill Weber, Stan Dammel, Nathan Melcher, Tom Schuh, Markus Smith, Mitch Wraspir, Koree Smith, Casen Watson, Hudson Watson, Bo Walter, Sawyer Walter, Holden Iverson, Kit Watson, HaLee Walter, Jesse Reeves, Lexi Eden, Troy Hardung, Hudson Walter, Levi Hardung and Ryan Melgren.

High handicap shooter was Jared King, and high doubles shooter was Jon Fink. The Miss-n-Out winner was Markus Smith. Hudson Walter won the Annie Oakley contest. The Bushwacker winner was Markus Smith.

Marlin results

At the Marlin Gun Club, Bill James was the only shooter with a perfect 25. Dan Asker and Austin Nelson hit 24 targets. Finishing with 23 were Corey Shearer, Scott Mortimer, Kass Kimble and Dakota McAfee. Shooters hitting 22 targets were Todd Druffel, Jim Imbert, Paul Bowden, Miller Stout, Liz Shenyer and Ken Eckhart. Hitting 21 were Camden Eckhart and Jessica Winston.

Shooting 20 or under were Juan Rocha, Brent Finkbeiner, Wayne Dainty, Rob Imbert, Mike Christ, Ron Lesser, Josh Gray, Chuck Ray, Travis Shearer, Noel Bowden, Brian Finkbeiner, Bryan Winston, JD Blum, Rhett Jergenson, Chris Stout, Chad Jackson, Ryan Jergenson, Jessie True, Charlene Kraus, Faith Bowden, Holly Finkbeiner, Jesse Anderson, Brayden Finkbeiner, Cort Kimble, Madison Finkbeiner, Lucian Iksic, Trevin Laury and Carmen Eckhart.

High handicap shooters were Juan Rocha with 25 and Carmen Eckhart with 24, and high doubles shooter was Austin Nelson with 46. The Miss-n-Out winner was Liz Shenyer.

The above results have not yet been posted to the Spokesman-Review’s website, but as of week #7 the Yakima Valley Sportsmen were in first place in Division 1 with a score of 691, while the Marlin-Odessa Gun Club was only two points behind them at 689. In the women’s division, the Marlin-Odessa team was sitting in fourth place and in the youth division in second place.
