Annual Car Show upcoming

HARRINGTON—The car show here is making its return. The 10th Annual Harrington Car Show has been scheduled for Saturday, May 21 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. "in remembrance of Allen Jay Barth.” The main event is at The Studebaker Garage at 9 N. 3rd Street.

The entry fee per car and Car Show t-shirt is $20 apiece. Registration ends at noon that day. The Awards ceremony is at 3 p.m. and one must be present to win.

Vendors for the event include G&R Goodies, McCart's Junque and Stuff, Flutterbye Creations, Avon, Best Friends Crafts, Jeff Heuschkel Agency, A Plus Woodshop, The Popcorn & Sweet Shoppe, Clyde Gillespie State Farm, Schmidt Insurance, Scentsy and Kandi's Yarn Closet.

There will be plaques, trophies, raffle and a cash draw. Live music will fill the air.

There will be a quilt show at the Opera House (with Spokane Valley Quilting Bee), a two-day rummage fundraiser, a Booster Club breakfast at Memorial Hall from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. and a camera swap/photo exhibit at Memorial Hall.

Pre-registration forms if received before May 10th will entitle entrants for eligibility in the Pre-registration drawing. Entry forms for the Quilt Show need to be returned by May 15. The contact person for the Quilt Show Entry Form is Billie Herron Quilts can be dropped off ahead of time by planning with Herron.

The quilt show is from 9 to 4 p.m. in the Harrington Opera House auditorium. All quilts should be picked up after 4 p.m. on May 21.
