The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office does not release names of individuals who report possible criminal or suspicious activities to dispatchers or alleged victims for this column.

May 30

Traffic stops: 20

A caller reported a deer stuck in a fence on Highway 28 at milepost 128.

A caller reported a vehicle off the roadway on Highway 231 at milepost 36.

An Odessa woman said her 13-year-old son ran away from home after an argument.

A Wilbur woman said youths were prank calling the Billy Burger, threatening to burn the building down and saying dirty things to the employees.

A Colville man requested a welfare check on his brother and sister-in-law while sounding very confused.

A power outage momentarily knocked out the phone lines at the Sheriff’s Office, causing all 911 calls to be rerouted to Stevens County.

A caller requested assistance after locking his keys inside his car on the 700 block of North Main Street in Davenport.

A suspicious, unoccupied vehicle was reported at the Creston storage units on the west end of town.

May 31

Traffic stops: 11

A one-vehicle rollover crash was reported on Highway 2 near Oehlwein Road outside Davenport.

A jail inmate was transported from Lincoln County to Spokane to get on a prison shuttle.

A Public Works employee reported an abandoned vehicle on Little Falls Road just off the Highway 231 intersection north of Reardan.

A woman said the owner of the Sprague Motel charged her after she moved out of her room.

Alliance Counseling in Davenport asked that a local man be picked up from his house and taken to the hospital, as he was intoxicated and a “mean drunk.”

A problem with a youth was reported at Reardan High School.

A caller said his dog locked his keys in his car.

A possible sudden death was reported when a caller said he found a man he delivers groceries to inside his apartment not breathing.

An unoccupied vehicle was reported at the intersection of Highway 231 and Bowie Road north of Reardan.

June 1

Traffic stops: 10

A Davenport woman reported a tribal print blanket that appeared to have a person laying under it on Highway 2 across from Jahn Farms.

A caller said she let a man borrow her tractor and he wouldn’t give it back.

An Edwall woman said someone stole her sister’s pregnant yak.

A Wilbur woman reported a 50-year-old man having breathing issues.

A caller reported a suspicious man in a black shirt on Highway 2 toward Creston.

June 2

Traffic stops: 17

A Reardan man requested information on laws and regulations surrounding what types of guns he could mount on a gun rack in his vehicle.

A Davenport woman said someone left a lawn mower in front of their house.

A caller said he was having an ongoing dispute with his neighbor, who kept parking their car in front of his garage door.

A caller from Wilbur Mini Mart said a driver hit the side of the building, breaking a camera and sign.

A caller said his boat ran out of gas and wouldn’t start while he was fishing on Lake Roosevelt.

A one-vehicle rollover crash was reported near Lake Roosevelt.

A Davenport woman reported a 40-year-old female that uses meth had passed out.

A front gate alarm was reported going off at Buddy Boy Farms near Devil’s Gap.

June 3

Traffic stops: 24

A caller reported three cows in the roadway on Highway 2 at milepost 244.

A caller reported a white tractor and trailer being driven erratically near Highway 174.

A caller said a man was outside her front door threatening her.

A caller said his neighbors were recording him from their property.

A Lincoln woman said she received a text from an unknown number telling her that her grass looked green, and her water pump was running.

A Davenport man said a man came onto his Porcupine Bay property, got into an argument with him and told him he was “packing heat.”

A Reardan man said a man in a car he was checking on stuck his tongue out at him and flipped him off.

June 4

Traffic stops: 57

A Davenport man reported a blue van parked in a field across from Bluestem Road a mile east of Highway 28.

A caller said his parental visits with his son were being denied by his ex-wife.

A caller said someone kept calling him from Wilbur and harassing him.

A man with a flat tire was contacted by a deputy but told the officer that two deputies had already checked on him.

A Grand Coulee man requested help getting his vehicle back from a man he loaned it to in Almira.

A suspicious person was reported at Broadway and Central in Reardan.

A caller from SpeedTrap Tap House in Reardan said a man that was refused service for being intoxicated got into his car parked under a billboard by the library.

A caller reported a pickup truck speeding and making bad passes westbound on Highway 2 from milepost 247.

A caller said her son and nephew were at a friend’s house and she saw the friend’s dad slap him, kick a door, shut his hand in a door and push him down.

A possible driver under the influence was reported on Highway 2 westbound from Highway 25.

A Sprague woman reported someone lighting off fireworks.

Criminal docket-May 31

Michelle L. Hopkins, who is charged with 25 counts of possession of depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, had a motion in limine hearing continued to June 14. Her trial date of June 29 remains intact.

Cody James Magruder, who is charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, theft of a motor vehicle, first-degree theft, two counts of second-degree vehicle prowling and second-degree malicious mischief, had his trial reset to July 6 by the court.

Ryan Jeffrey Marley, who is charged with first-degree animal cruelty involving engaging in sexual conduct, entered a not-guilty plea. A readiness hearing was set for Aug. 2 and a jury trial was set for Aug. 24.

Ernest Keith Young Jr., who is charged with third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer, fourth-degree assault and interfering with domestic violence reporting, entered a not-guilty plea. A readiness hearing was set for June 21 and a jury trial was set for July 13. The state requested a

no-contact order, but the victim didn’t want one issued. A hearing for a motion to amend the no-contact order and release conditions was set for June 7.

Damion M. Pegram, who is charged with third-degree assault of a law enforcement officer, third-degree assault of a health care worker and second-degree unlawful firearm possession, entered a not-guilty plea. A readiness hearing was set for June 21 and a jury trial was set for July 13. Bail remained set at $100,000.
