James (Jim) Schillinger

July 2, 1961 - Aug. 20, 2022

James Schillinger passed away Aug. 20, 2022 in Davenport, Wash. Jim was born on July 2, 1961 in Spokane, Wash. to Jerry and Marilou Schillinger.

Jim grew up in Davenport, attended school and graduated in 1981 from Davenport High School. Jim later married Jana Johnson in April, 1982 and they had two girls to this union, Holly and Lacy.

Jim was a great mechanic and loved fixing things. He worked for K & J Pontiac and then the WADOT in Davenport as one of their mechanics for 25 years.

Jim was also a former Davenport Volunteer fireman for 20+ years and loved to go boating and fishing on Lake Roosevelt and the Spokane river. In his later years, Jim enjoyed many hobbies such as tying flies, leather work and crafting Para cord creations as well as riding his horse “Header”.

Jim is survived by his two daughters Holly (Michael) McDaniel, Lacy (Dallas) Gustaveson along with his five grandsons, Jason, Brody, Brock, Bryce and Brett. His father Jerry Schillinger and his sister Jodi Martinez and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Marilou, and one grandson Bo Johnson Gustaveson.
