Aug. 29

Traffic stops: 20

An abandoned vehicle was reported at Lake Valley Loop and Old Sprague Highway.

A loose black bull was reported on Max Harder Road and East Lake Lane in Sprague.

A Davenport man said he saw a woman holding up a gas can while he drove by and said he couldn’t help her, since he only had diesel fuel.

A Wilbur man reported a white truck with multiple people around it behind his house in the Doxie’s Drive-In overflow parking lot.

A Davenport man said his wife was bitten by his neighbor’s dogs for the third time that week.

A disabled vehicle was reported just across from the weigh station on Highway 2 near Reardan.

A possible domestic violence situation was reported on the 100 block of Fifth Avenue in Odessa.

A caller said her neighbor was yelling and her and her son over where he parked his car.

Aug. 30

Traffic stops: 5

A caller said her neighbor’s dogs wound up her dogs so much that they destroyed her screen door.

An Edwall woman reported possible threats from two men on the 52600 block of Moos Road East.

A caller said two nicely dressed men offered her gold jewelry for money in Sprague.

State Patrol requested deputy response to the westbound Sprague rest area off I-90.

A car crash was reported at the intersection of Highway 25 and Highway 2.

A Davenport woman said an elderly disabled female was stuck in a battery powered wheelchair out of power on Ross Street by the Cottonwood Apartments.

A Reardan man said a white Subaru hit his Dodge pickup while he was driving eastbound on Highway 2 and continued toward Davenport.

Aug. 31

Traffic stops: 2

A sudden death was reported on the 1400 block of Ross Street in Davenport.

A vehicle lockout was reported at Davenport Elementary School.

A caller said a Barr-Tech Composting employee ran their car into the fence at the worksite in Sprague trying to beat the gate.

Two Lincoln County Jail inmates were transported to Lincoln Hospital for a COVID-19 test, then transported to Spokane County.

A Davenport woman reported a wheat truck rollover crash on Riffe and Burgeron Roads north of Reardan.

A caller from the Sprague Motel said she was trying to get an ex-worker to move out of the manager’s unit to another unit in the motel.

A caller said he saw a woman grab a man’s cell phone and throw it into Lake Roosevelt during an argument at the Seven Bays Marina.

A Grand Coulee woman said a suspicious vehicle was driving by her residence on the 44900 block of Highway 174.

A suspicious man was reported walking around on Fifth and F Streets in Sprague.

Sept. 1

Traffic stops: 14

A Davenport man reported a fire in Bluestem at Coleman Road.

The Wilbur clinic said a Subaru had been left in their parking lot for two weeks.

An order violation was reported on the 31900 block of Hawk Creek Ranch Road.

A Davenport woman requested a welfare check on her friend in Odessa that she hadn’t heard from in several days.

A man was reported purchasing a used vehicle in Reardan.

A caller said a jail inmate called her younger sister bragging about bullying.

A disabled vehicle was reported in the middle of Batum Road south of Fink Road near Odessa.

A Reardan man said a lady in front of him took her dog off its leash and it turned around and became aggressive toward him and his wife while they were on a walk.

A suspicious person was reported at Safeway in Davenport.

Sept. 2

Traffic stops: 16

A Davenport woman reported an injured deer on Highway 2 at milepost 235.

A Lincoln County Jail inmate was transported to Eastern State Hospital.

A violation of a court order was reported in Sprague.

A caller reported a man jumping in and out of traffic causing vehicles to swerve.

A caller asked for a check on some dogs on the 100 block of North Maple Street in Reardan.

An Odessa man said he was a victim of computer fraud.

An Odessa woman said her car was hit by a CenturyLink truck while she was at a yard sale on Elm and Broadway Avenue in Reardan.

A Ritzville woman said her ex-husband violated a parenting plan in Sprague.

A Davenport woman said a man paid for his purchase with two $2 silver certificates at Davenport Family Foods.

A lost dog was reported in Odessa.

A Lincoln County Jail inmate was transported from Lincoln Hospital to Airway Heights.

A man said three young men went hunting on his land without permission and shot a buck.

An Odessa woman requested a welfare check on a man, who was found relaxing on his front porch.

A caller reported a suspicious pickup truck behind the railroad museum in Sprague.

A caller reported an unsecured door at Traders in Davenport.

Sept. 3

Traffic stops: 28

A Creston woman said a car appeared in her driveway on the 35300 block of Outlaw Ranch Way the day prior.

A Seven Bays man reported smoldering logs east of Sunday Bay on Lake Roosevelt.

A Harrington woman said cars were speeding 60 mph in a 25 mph zone in front of her house on the 600 block of South Coal Creek Road.

An Edwall woman said an 83-year-old man was being given CPR on the 12800 block of Sassin Station Road.

A Davenport man reported a vehicle swerving across lanes entering Reardan, then turning north onto Highway 231.

A Davenport man complained about parking.

A Grand Coulee man said someone stole arrows from his property on the 44900 block of Highway 174.

A Spokane Valley man reported a 15-year-old boy having a seizure in the Davenport area.

A Reardan man said someone staying in a trailer near his was burning garbage in violation of the burn ban on the 300 block of North Birch Street.

A Davenport woman said she saw a white pickup truck in the ditch on Teel Hill Road.

A woman said she saw a man walking in and out of traffic eastbound on Highway 2 leaving Reardan.

Multiple alarms were reported coming from the Fort Spokane Ranger’s offices and hallways.

A concerned citizen reported a large bonfire near the fire station in Deer Meadows.

Sept. 4

Traffic stops: 16

Two unsecure doors were reported at the Davenport Fire Station.

A disabled boat was reported on Lake Roosevelt.

Two cows were reported on Highway 231 at milepost 34.

A Seven Bays man asked for deputies to search for his father on the 100 block of Hildahl Lane, as they hadn’t been able to find him since the day before.

A Davenport man said someone was on a property he manages hunting illegally.

A Davenport man said a small fire unrelated to the Seven Bays Fire was burning near a residence on the 40900 block of Barbara Lane.

A man said someone was burning wood in his fire pit next to some sage brush at the Keller Ferry campground.

A caller said she and her family got stuck in their boat on a sandbar at the mouth of Hawk Creek on Lake Roosevelt while her daughter and husband were intoxicated.

JAIL BOOKINGS

Aug. 30

Shash Sky Talancon, 43, Davenport. Originally arrested by the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) on a charge of first-degree unlawful firearm possession.

Sept. 3

Monte Scott Flett, 56, Fruitland. Arrested by LCSO on charges of third-degree driving with a suspended license, operating a vehicle without an ignition interlock and failure to appear for these charges.

Sept. 4

Logan McKenzie Hayes, 33, Harrisburg. Arrested by LCSO for violating a domestic violence no-contact order.

SUPERIOR COURT

Criminal docket-Aug. 30

Larry Quincy Bronson Jr., who pleaded guilty to first-degree stolen property trafficking in May, failed to appear for a sentencing hearing. A warrant was issued for his arrest with no bail set.

Shash Sky Talancon was convicted of second-degree assault and six counts of first-degree unlawful firearm possession. He was sentenced to 72 months in jail and given a no-contact order with the assault victim for five years.

Clinton Paul Burrill pleaded guilty to three counts of second-degree unlawful firearm possession with a previous conviction. He was sentenced to 12 months and 12 days in prison and was ordered to forfeit his firearms.

Felicia A. Sanford, who is charged with a protection order violation and two counts of second-degree theft, entered a not-guilty plea. Bail remains at $5,000. A no-contact order was given with the alleged victims. A readiness hearing was set for Sept. 27 and a jury trial was set for Oct. 19.

Ernie L. Lawson, who is charged with harassment with the threat to kill or cause bodily injury, entered a not-guilty plea. Bail was lowered to $1,500. A no-contact order was given with the alleged victim. A readiness hearing was set for Sept. 27 and a jury trial was set for Oct. 19.
