Commissioners negotiate PEB plan with 1254

DAVENPORT—The newspaper-proclaimed “county insurance saga” appears to have been settled. The Lincoln County Commissioners reached an agreement with Union 1254 and 1254C, which represents county roads and the courthouse, on a medical-only plan with PEB through open negotiations Tuesday, Nov. 8.

The plan that was negotiated will be what is offered to non-unionized employees as well, commissioner Scott Hutsell said. Deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office voted to move to the Teamsters medical plan offered by their union in October, a move approved by the commissioners.
