ODESSA— The Edmund and Braun Family Foundation donated $3,000, as announced at the school board meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 14.
The board announced Josh Clark's resignation. School faculty and the board thanked Clark for his impact on the students and his service as a high school Assistant Football Coach.
Bus driver Vonn Nelson was released from employment with no other details available at the time of this article.
Superintendent John Bruce said ten students would participate in highly capable testing on Friday, Jan. 20.
Bruce shared teaching shortage concerns with the board and sought help from OSPI. He said that all documents are submitted for the upcoming levy.
Athletic director Larry Weber thanked the Odessa Athletic Booster Club for the new TV by the concession stands, so no one misses out on the games. Weber also thanked Facilities Manager Justin Parr for replacing the camera at the football field.
A special board meeting is scheduled for Jan. 11 at 6 p.m and a regular board meeting is scheduled for Jan. 25 at 6 p.m.
