REARDAN — Town council voted to demolish the park’s covered pavilion at its meeting Thursday, Feb. 2.

The building’s 30-year-old roof is rotting. The council solicited bids to remove the building from its concrete pad, which would be kept for construction of a new building.

Council also voted to study the feasibility of installing traffic safety enforcement cameras in the school zone downtown on East Broadway Avenue. Cameras would be operated at designated times during the school day to prevent speeding and enhance pedestrian safety.

There is no timeline for either project.
