Car show is this weekend

Antiques to line street in Harrington

HARRINGTON — The 11th Annual Harrington Car Show is coming up from 9 a.m.- 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20. Cars dating back earlier than 1929 will line Third Street, with several prizes dished out.

Awards will be given for favorite cars and trucks in each decade from before 1929 to 1980 or newer, as well as special prizes such as favorite tractor, longest distance driven, people’s choice and more.

All makes and models of cars can be entered. There is a $20 fee to enter.

In addition to the car show, a quilt show and rummage sale will be hosted at the Opera House. The Booster Club will host breakfast at Memorial Hall from 8-11 a.m. A photo exhibit will be in the Hall.

Live music will strain through downtown, and vendors will line the corridor. The event will feature a beer garden for the first time.

The event will conclude with the awards ceremony at 3 p.m.
