DAVENPORT - A new Drama Club here is debuting its first play soon. The Davenport Drama Club is performing "The Enchanted Bookshop" at Davenport High School Saturday, June 3.

The Drama Club was started as a Davenport Public Library program in Sept. 2022 under the direction of librarian Delia Breedlove, who is directing the play originally penned by Todd Wallinger.

"We want to give kids something to do that wasn't sports," Breedlove said. "Drama gives kids a social outlet and helps with stage presence, public speaking and reading."

The club has met every Monday and will meet every day star...
