Is media lying about Ukraine?

The news is we are going to start training the Ukrainians on F16’s yet in the news it is reported that the Ukrainians have mastered the F16 in 4 months. Years ago I was going to the Nevada Nuclear test site during star wars research. I became acquainted with one of the researchers, a former intelligence officer and we had a conversation about the Iran/ Iraq war and how it was going. I learned then not to trust anything the government tells us . I was young and stupid then, what’s the media’s excuse?

Disagree with column opposing vaccine mandate

After reading Elizabeth Hovde column in the May 18, 2023, Record-Times, I’d like to suggest that the Washington State Public employees, who refused to get vaccinated, should apologize to us senior citizens with an immune compromised condition. I’d like to hear, “I’m sorry for endangering your life and health, so I could protest my personal freedom without regard to the harm I’d do to my fellow man.” “And I’d also like to apologize for believing all the anti-vaccine media that lead me to this poor decision.” Civilization cannot survive with the attitude that my personal freedoms are a higher priority than my community’s health.

In addition, the incentive payment to employees who stay current on their COVID-19 vaccinations could be increased to $5000 with no complaints from this taxpayer. Much cheaper to keep our vulnerable population healthy than to pay huge medical bills. Plus, the wage loss to our economy by the family caregivers who must leave work to care for loved ones.

Furthermore, Ms. Hovde failed to document her sources that “boosted individuals are faring worse than people with only initial vaccination when it comes to testing positive for COVID-19, being hospitalized or dying.” Her statement lacks credibility based on my personal experience and the facts I’ve been reading.

Finally, I don’t want those self-centered fired State employees to be rehired. They don’t care about their community or vulnerable populations, only themselves. We don’t need public servants with that attitude or that are gullible to outlandish media claims.
