Larry Monroe Anderson, 75, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Jan. 20, 2023 in Spokane WA. He was born on Sept. 8th, 1947, in Tacoma, Wash. to Stanley E Anderson and Lilah E Anderson.

Larry is survived by his sisters: Janet E Slagle (Dan) of Kennewick, Wash .; Cheryl Anderson Parrill (Eric) McDermott of Nevada; brothers: Stephen A Anderson of Bremerton, Wash., Russell A Anderson of Salt Lake City, Utah; nephews: Jason W Slagle (Trudy) of Kennewick, Wash., Joshua M Slagle (Anna) of Reno, Nevada; niece Wendy N Slagle of Kennewick, Wash., great-nephew David J Slagle; great-niece Faith E Slagle, and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister Carol M Anderson, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Larry attended Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Wash., where he was active in Voice of Christian Youth and graduated in1965. He then went on to Washington State University where he was active in Campus Crusade for Christ and received a Bachelor of Arts in Math in1969 and later, a Master’s of Education degree in 1978. Larry served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War for two years and was in the reserves after his overseas duty. Larry worked for the Federal Way School District as a middle school math and curriculum development teacher. Later, he worked for the Spokane School District where he taught in the 5th and 6th grade classroom provided staff development, and was an exchange teacher to Japan. After retirement he became a lay minister with the United Methodist Church in Reardan, Wash. In his free time, Larry enjoyed sharing the love of and salvation through his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as well as family, friends, cars and books.

A Celebration of Life service for Larry will be held on Thurs., June 15, 2023, at 2 pm at the Reardan United Methodist Church, 155 S Oak St. Reardan, WA 99029. Interment will take place at Tahoma National Cemetery, date to be determined.
