REARDAN - Thirteen players, mostly eighth- and ninth-graders, have joined an American Legion baseball team that will represent the town in a 20-game schedule this summer.

Brian Kozee, a career member of the U.S. Air Force, stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base, coaches the team. Kozee said the purpose of the American Legion program is for players to learn the fundamentals of baseball, develop their skills and to prepare them to compete at the high school level.
