School board approves resurfaced gym floor

DAVENPORT — The school board approved a motion to resurface the high school gym floor at its regular meeting Wednesday, June 21.

The floor hasn’t been resurfaced for three years, plant operations director Brian Telford told the board.

He and athletic director Tim Rasmussen shared a quote for $27,751 and various possible logo designs that could go on the updated floor.

Superintendent Chad Prewitt told the board there is over $900,000 in the school district’s capital projects budget, indicating there is financial standing to approve a resurface.
