Serving Lincoln County for more than a century!
DAVENPORT — Lincoln County commissioners considered requests for hire from multiple department heads at their regular meeting Monday, July 3.
First, the Commissioners approved a request from information services director Keith Nelson, who asked to open up a part-time position for an intern to stay with the department while noting many of the current workers are expected to retire in the next two to five years.
The Commissioners tabled a request from Treasurer Emily Lybbert Hansen, who asked for a full-time position to help train someone to take over for Chief Deputy Treasurer Annette Rustemeyer when she retires in 2025.
The board cited financial concerns when tabling the request and agreed to further discuss the proposition, including the idea of hiring a part-time trainee instead of a full-timer, to the July 17 meeting.
