Wagner, Kramer, Crossley surge ahead

One vote separates two Sprague candidates

ODESSA—Incumbent mayor Bill Crossley and councilwoman Marlene Kramer appear well on their way to the general election after another round of primary election votes were counted Thursday, Aug. 3.

Crossley has 216 votes, vastly ahead of second-place Jeremy Smith (53) and third-place Ed Hayden (32). Barring a surprising surge by Hayden, Smith will advance to face Crossley in the November general election.

The top two candidates in each race advance to the general.
