Stanley Richard (Duke) Wraspir born Aug. 20, 1939 passed away on May 22, 2023. Born to Stanley B. and Emma Wraspir, he was the youngest sibling.

Duke grew up in Odessa Wash. After High school he married Barbara Tiffany in 1957 and then he served in the United States Navy. Following his tour of duty, Duke returned to the family farm in Odessa. He was named Farmer of the Year for the state of Wash. in 1968. Duke’s work ethic led him to many diverse occupations such as plowing snow for the local hospital, driving a school bus, working for the Boeing Company, PG&E, and a stint as a deputy sheriff, and like his dad always the entertainer. Participating in the family band was an important part of Duke’s life. The band played many venues throughout the Greater Columbia Basin. Duke and the band were featured for numerous years at the Odessa Deutschesfest. They even performed at Expo 74 in Spokane Wash.

In 1977, Duke and Mary were married. Their love of music sent them on the road. Duke and Mary took the band on a nationwide tour and released two singles. They owned a BBQ restaurant in Blanchard, Idaho. Following the sale of that business, Duke and Mary raised Boxers, shih tzu , and Lhasa Apso dogs. Duke also volunteered at his local VFW. Upon retirement, Duke lived in Newport Wash.

Duke is survived by his sisters Viola and Dorothy. Children; Richard Wraspir and Susan, Douglas Wraspir and Amy, Darren Wraspir, Lorna Wraspir Ludtke and Bob, Guy Lash and Christal. Grandchildren; Nicole and Michael Clark, Holly Wraspir Vasquez, Joe Wraspir, Kyle Wraspir, Nick Wraspir, Amber Hutson, Jamie Hendrix and Heather Ludtke, Chad Lash, Dillon Lash and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceeded in death by Brother Don Wraspir, Mother Emma Wraspir, and Father Stanley B. Wraspir.
