Public comment sought for Marina

Assessment at Seven Bays

COULEE DAM –- The National Park Service at Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area announced the public comment period for the Seven Bays Marina Rehabilitation Environmental Assessment (EA) will open on Monday, Jan. 29. The assessment outlines a range of feasible project alternatives, including a no action alternative and analyzes the environmental effects of each.

The National Park Service is working to improve site amenities at Seven Bays Marina in an effort to provide a safer and more accessible park facility for the public, the service said in a press release.

“As one of the busiest concessions operated marinas and boat launches for transient boaters on the lake, these improvements are critical and will address deferred maintenance in the park,” the release said.

The rehabilitation is planned for 2025.

The public review and comment period for the assessment will open Jan. 29 and end Wednesday, Feb. 28. The public can access and comment on the EA document online through the Planning Environment and Public Comment (PEPC) website: http://parkplanning.nps.gov/sevenbaysmarina.
