RITZVILLE - Lincoln County schools now know which of their athletes are heading to Yakima to compete in the WIAA State Championship Meet this weekend. 28 local athletes have punched their tickets to the May 23-25 meet at Eisenhower High School after the District 7 2B and District 7/9 1B Regional Championships concluded Saturday, May 18.
Some athletes and teams have the best marks in certain events heading into state.
Davenport sophomore Glenna Soliday has the fastest time in the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles for 2B and is tied for the fastest 200-meter mark.
