Davenport's Clare Lathrop backs down her Chewelah opponent for two points in the Gorillas' district tournament win, Monday, Feb. 10.
SPOKANE VALLEY – Clare Lathrop and Addie Schneider both scored 18 points to lead Davenport to a 71-17 win over Jenkins (Chewelah) in the first round of the District 6 2B Girls Basketball Tournament at West Valley High School Monday, Feb. 10.
The Gorillas boasted a 17-3 record going into the game as opposed to Chewelah who notched only one win out of its 21 games. The Gorillas won the year's previous meetings 50-27 and 54-8.
