Newport blanks Reardan baseball and softball

REARDAN – The Newport baseball and softball teams came to town Tuesday, April 22, and in both games, overpowered the Screaming Eagles with dominant pitching. The Grizzlies won the girls softball game 14-0 and the boys baseball game 8-0.

In the softball game, Grizzlies' pitcher Lili Hall handcuffed Reardan batters allowing only singles by Hadley Landreth and Tayen Zagorski.

Newport tattooed the ball in its at-bats. The Grizzlies hit four doubles and one home run in their 10 hit, 14-0 win.

The loss dropped the Screaming Eagles to 5-8.
