Royalty, local bands march at Lilac Parade

DAVENPORT - Lincoln County was well represented at the 87th Annual Lilac Parade on Saturday as Miss Davenport, Alyssa Breedlove, made her debut as queen, despite a soggy start to the celebration.

"It was her first appearance. Her brothers and sisters walked with her and her father drove, and they got dumped on with rain," said Delia Breedlove, Alyssa's mother. "By the end, she was cold and tired, but she had a great time. She loved the attention from the little girls thinking she's a princess."
