All driver’s licenses in Washington expire July 31 and the new ones become effective August 1 and are good for two years. Licenses cost $1.00 and every person who drives an automobile or truck must have one.

Two Harrington youth were struck by a car while walking on the sidewalk in front of state bank. Herbert Armstrong and Donald Oestrich were knocked down and narrowly escaped serious injury. The car was driven by Pete Smensen.

Jake Woitt, formerly of Odessa is wanted by Federal authorities for a liquor charge. Woitt is asserted operator of large rum runners on the west coast.
