Slam Dunk for Screaming Eagles

REARDAN – Twelve girls basketball teams took part in the 4th annual Reardan Slam Basketball Tournament at the high school June 13-15. The Screaming Eagles went 5-1 and defeated Garfield-Palouse 48-43 to win the championship. Other teams in the tournament were Medical Lake, Kettle Falls, Moses Lake, Pullman, Lake Roosevelt, Colville, Liberty, Brewster, Pomeroy and Saint George's.
"Summer is the building block to the following season," Reardan coach Bob Swannack said. "And this tournament is important because it's the only time outside of the season that we can get the kids to play together."
