Hospital levy passes in primary election

ODESSA — Voters approved Hospital District No. 1 Proposition No. 1 in the Aug. 5 primary election, continuing funding for essential healthcare services.

The levy, which passed with 73.33% of the vote, authorizes the district to collect $981,190 in 2026 at an estimated rate of $3.02 per $1,000 of assessed property value.

This levy replaces an expiring one-year excess property tax and will fund day-to-day maintenance and upgrades at Odessa Memorial Healthcare Center.
