REARDAN - The Newport Grizzlies edged the Reardan Screaming Eagles 3-2 in a five-set volleyball match Tuesday, Sept. 9, clinching victory after a Reardan rotation error ended the fifth set at 14-13.
Reardan took the first set 26-24 and dominated the second 25-16. Newport fought back, winning the third 25-23 and the fourth 25-20. The fifth set at 13-14, concluded abruptly when Reardan was penalized for being out of rotation.
