DAVENPORT - The Inchelium Hornets defeated the Davenport Gorillas 46-26 in a non-conference varsity football game Friday, Sept. 5, at the Davenport Gorillas football field. Inchelium's passing game overwhelmed Davenport, with quarterback Derek Perez and wide receiver Gade Stenbar connecting for two touchdowns. The Hornets used their speed to exploit gaps in the Gorillas' defense. Davenport relied on a strong rushing attack, highlighted by a 70-yard touchdown run from sophomore Daman Gale, but injuries and limited depth hindered them late in the game.
