CHEWELAH - The Screaming Eagles unleashed a powerful ground game and a suffocating defense to secure a 44-6 victory over the Chewelah Cougars in a Northeast 2B League football game Friday night, Sept. 19.
Reardan (3-0) surged to a 24-0 lead in the first quarter and maintained control throughout, piling up 377 yards rushing while holding Chewelah (1-2) to just four first downs. The Screaming Eagles' defense forced two interceptions, one by senior quarterback Hunter Flaa and another by freshman linebacker David Mendoza, shutting down the Cougars' offense.
