DAVENPORT - The City of Davenport moved closer to finalizing its 2026 budget Wednesday, October 22, during a workshop and City Council meeting that saw the approval of more than $122,000 in bills and discussion of tax, sewer and water rate adjustments.
The council conducted its annual budget hearing, outlining expenditures that include $40,000 for planning and committee development, along with routine allocations for city operations. Officials also reviewed proposed 2026 utility rate increases - a 3% bump for water and sewer services - to help sustain infrastructure and cover rising costs.
