Davenport man sentenced for Meth

DAVENPORT — A local man received a 90-month prison sentence Tuesday, Oct. 21, for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, less than six weeks after his release from federal prison.

David Randall Priest, 56, changed his plea to guilty in Lincoln County Superior Court. Represented by public defender Dave Hearrean, Priest said he had discussed going to trial but ultimately agreed to the plea.

“I have a lot to figure out. Why do I continue to return to drugs? I want to help people coming out of prison rather than running to the dope dealer,” Priest told the court.
