Library event blends stories and smiles

DAVENPORT - Davenport's own royalty, Queen Alyssa Breedlove, 16, of Davenport, spent part of her reign encouraging a love of reading among local children during a recent storytime event at the Davenport Public Library, Monday, Oct. 27.
"When the kids got here, they all made their crowns," said Head Librarian Delia Breedlove. "After that, they all sat down and Alyssa read them a couple of books."
