Driver's education returns to Davenport

DAVENPORT — Driver’s education is returning to Davenport High School this winter after several years’ absence.

The Davenport School Board approved the program’s return and partnered with instructor David Brennan, who has led driver’s education courses in other districts.

Classes will begin in January and run for about nine to 10 weeks, with morning classroom instruction before school and behind-the-wheel sessions after school.

A parent meeting is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 5, and the first class will be held on Sunday, Jan. 19.
