Rain may join trick-or-treaters

DAVENPORT — Costumed trick-or-treaters may have some company from Mother Nature this Halloween night on Friday, as forecasters predict a chance of light rain during prime candy-collecting hours.

According to Rachael Feukes, 25, a meteorologist based in Spokane, there’s a 40–50% chance of showers between 5–11 p.m. Thursday, October 31.

“We have a system moving in,” Feukes said. “The good news is it does look like it will be a really light rain during that time. Kids shouldn’t be caught in any downpours.”
