Becker builds strong early mayor lead

SPRAGUE - Early results from the Tuesday, Nov. 4 General Election show Lucas Becker leading decisively in the race for Sprague mayor, capturing an early majority of the vote.

Becker received 93 votes (67.39%), while Scooter Dearing trailed with 42 votes (30.43%). Three write-in votes accounted for 2.17% of the total 138 ballots cast.

"I am pretty excited," Becker said Tuesday night. "I got the three council people I was supporting, and they won their races and I won mine. I am thankful that we had a clean race. I am just excited for what is to come next."
