Strite, Stein, Katz keep Davenport seats

DAVENPORT - Incumbents held their ground in Davenport's City Council races Tuesday, with several candidates securing clear leads in the preliminary election results.

In the City Council Position No. 1 race, Michael Strite led with 230 votes (71.65%), defeating challenger Libbie Klettke, who earned 91 votes (28.35%).

"I am pleasantly surprised and excited to take the next step and work with the rest of the committee and council on making Davenport the best it can be," Strite said.
