Bingo board brings big bucks

DAVENPORT — Davenport’s annual Turkey Bingo drew a large and enthusiastic crowd Saturday, Nov. 8, with players coming from across the region to support local charities and community projects.

Scott Hopkins, Davenport Lions Club Turkey Bingo chairman, current treasurer, and three-time past president, said the turnout matched or exceeded last year’s event.

“We get people from Stevens, Whitman, Spokane, Grant, Lincoln Counties — you pretty much name every county — and we even had a couple come out from Coeur d’Alene in Kootenai County,” he said.
