Flaa touchdown lifts Eagles
REARDAN — A last-minute 3-yard touchdown run lifted Reardan’s own Hunter Flaa led to a 21-18 victory over Asotin in a Washington Class 2B high school football playoff game Nov. 8, sending the Screaming Eagles to the state quarterfinals.
Reardan (12 seed) advances to face No. 5 Okanogan on Friday at 7 p.m.
The teams traded scores in a scoreless third quarter before the fourth-period flurry. Asotin took an 18-14 lead on Cody Ells’ 7-yard run with 2:52 left, but Reardan answered with a 75-yard drive capped by Flaa’s plunge. Carter Ray’s third extra point proved the difference.
